Vivino is great for discovering wines. Caviste is built to manage the ones you own.
Vivino is a discovery and rating app: it shines when you're deciding what to buy. But it isn't built to run a cellar, and it doesn't offer a clean export of your collection. If you want to know what you own and when to drink it, here are two ways to move to Caviste.
This is the path we recommend. Photograph each label and Caviste's AI reads the estate, vintage, appellation, colour and grapes, then fills in the bottle sheet and attaches a drinking window. It works even for small growers and foreign wines no database knows. A tidy cellar in a few seconds per bottle, and every wine arrives with a "when to open it" already computed, something Vivino never gave you.
Vivino has no built-in cellar export, but if you've managed to produce a spreadsheet of your wines (for example with a third-party export tool), Caviste can import it. Arrange your columns like our example file (estate, cuvée, appellation, colour, vintage, quantity, price, drinking window), save as CSV, then open Settings → Import a cellar in the app. See the spreadsheet import guide for details.
Import is free, for everyone. During your 7-day trial you can add your entire cellar, however large. Afterwards the free plan keeps all your bottles readable but caps new additions at 30 sheets; Premium (2.99 €/month or 24.99 €/year) removes the limit and unlocks bulk add (several bottles per photo).
