Caviste is free to start and stays usable for free. Premium lifts every limit for 24.99 EUR a year, which works out at about two euros a month, or one decent bottle out of a cellar you will keep for years. There is no third tier, no fee per bottle and no module to buy later.

What the free tier actually gives you
It is not a demo. Thirty bottles is a real cellar for most people, the drinking window is computed on five levels down to the grape and can be rewritten bottle by bottle, the cellar map is drawn and searchable, and CSV import and export work both ways. Deleting a bottle frees its slot, so thirty is a ceiling and not a counter that only climbs.
Why Premium costs what it costs
Premium is 24.99 EUR a year because the app has one job and does not need to sell anything else. No ads, no data resale, no sponsored bottles. One subscription covers the unlimited cellar, unlimited scanning, the unlimited sommelier, bulk add by photo and the word from the cellarman. And the price you subscribe at does not move while your subscription stays active.

Is Caviste really free?
Yes. A free account keeps 30 bottles, 3 sommelier pairings and its 50 scan photos for as long as it exists, with no card and no expiry date. The first 7 days lift the cellar and sommelier limits so you can fill your cellar in one sitting.
What happens to my bottles if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. The cellar goes back to the free rules, you keep reading everything, and you can export the whole thing to CSV whenever you like. Your data stays yours, and the account is deleted in one tap if you want it gone.
Is the scan allowance monthly?
No, it runs for the life of the account: 50 photos, trial included. Scanning is the only feature that costs money on every call, so it has its own count. Premium scans with no limit.
