Caviste is published by Alexandre Rabottin (see the legal notice). For any question about your data: contact@cavisteapp.com.
That is all. No location tracking, no contacts, no advertising trackers, no data resale. The app contains no ads.
When you scan a label, the photo is sent to our provider Anthropic (United States) solely to extract its content (estate, vintage, appellation…). We use their commercial API: your photos are not used to train their models. This transfer outside the European Union is covered by appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
On our servers located in the European Union. Label photos are kept on our servers under non-predictable file names.
As long as your account exists. Deleting your account (Settings → “Delete my account”) immediately and permanently erases all your data: account, cellar, tastings and photos. Technical backups are kept for 7 days, then overwritten.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple's App Store. We never see nor store any payment details.
Peak-time reminders are local notifications, scheduled on your device, only if you enable them. They never go through any server.
Only with your consent, we measure how the app is used through Google Analytics for Firebase: screens viewed, country, device type. These statistics are used to improve the app; ad-personalization signals are disabled and nothing is collected about the content of your cellar. You are asked on first use, your choice is remembered for 13 months and can be changed anytime in Settings → “Usage statistics”. Declining does not restrict the app in any way, and no measurement data is collected before you agree.
If the app crashes, a technical report (device model, app version, error trace) is sent to our provider Sentry so we can fix the bug; it contains neither your identity nor the content of your cellar.
The app sets no tracker without your agreement. On this website, we use Google Analytics to count visits, only if you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit. No measurement cookie is set before your consent, and declining does not restrict the site in any way. Your choice is remembered for 6 months; you can change it anytime: manage cookies.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data. Most of these can be exercised directly in the app; for anything else, write to contact@cavisteapp.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
If this policy changes, the update date above will be revised and notable changes will be announced in the app.
